10/18/21: Effective Monday, October 18th Middlesboro ARH will return to allowing visitors for our patients. This will include:
8/30/21: Due to the current surge in COVID Positive patients we are restricting visitation at this time for the safety of our patients, staff and visitors
Everyone entering an ARH facility is required to wear a mask (cloth and other homemade masks are encouraged) and will be screened for fever and illness before entering the building.
As requested by patients or the legally authorized patient advocate, ARH welcomes chaplains for spiritual service (This spiritual service is understood to be in addition to the authorized daily visitor).
Harlan/Middlesboro
Mom may have the father and 1 other support person. If Mom is COVID positive, then we do allow the father or 1 support person to be with her so long as they understand the risks and are willing to wear the appropriate PPE as well as abide by all other ARH policies.
Highlands
Mom may have one support person. No switching out.
Hazard
Mom may have one person to stay the entire time. No switching out.
Whitesburg
Mom may have two visitors during labor. Two hours after the infant delivers the 2nd support must leave but may come back the next day during visitation hours. These will be the only 2 people during entire hospital stay.
